A very appreciated novelty of the Milan Design Week 2017 is the Libelle bookcase, produced by Baxter and designed by Pietro Russo, a talented Italian interior and product designer who sees every creation as the meeting point between scenography and craftsmanship.
Libelle Bookcase by PIETRO RUSSO
The Libelle bookcase recalls a dragonfly and its ethereal lightness thanks to its design and its name borrowed from the German language. The Libelle bookcase is a modular one, and it can be made both in the wall and the ceiling version. The thin but durable matt black varnished metal frame is fastened with elegant satin brass pins, also used for shelves supports. The shelves can have a black stained maple structure with inside in cane, a frame in natural maple with inside in black cane or a refined leather lining. Baxter makes this modular bookcase even more versatile, allowing you to add a storage ring in satin brass, only available for leather-covered shelves. It is possible to make the Libelle modular bookcase in different heights and with the number of shelves you want, giving this way the possibility to adapt to a wide variety of home and contract environments.
