Zinc Sulfide Multispectral (ZnS MS)
Build high-performance common aperture systems that operate across wavelengths ranging from 400 nm to 12 µm with minimal scatter and excellent mechanical properties.
Coherent ZnS multispectral is zinc sulfide material that is treated by a hot isostatic press (HIP) process. Under this intense heat and pressure, defects within the crystalline lattice are virtually eliminated resulting in a water-clear material.
Zinc Sulfide Multispectral (ZnS MS) Characteristics
Coherent routinely supplies ZnS MS substrates up to 300 mm, and can provide sheet material, core-drilled blanks, edged blanks, generated curved lens blanks, and more.
