Ring-Focus Off-Axis Parabolas
Improve results in CO2 laser cutting, drilling, and other materials processing tasks with optics that combine the properties of a focusing mirror and an axicon.
These optics produce a non-diffracting, Bessel beam, ring-focus spot which cuts smoother edges with less thermal damage to the surrounding material than a Gaussian beam. This single optic improves design versatility over separate components.
Fabrication Capabilities
Coherent can readily design Ring-Focus Off-Axis Parabolas to produce any desired ring diameter at focus. These optics are usable in high-power laser systems.
